1.-One with the water

One of the most demanded developments include the use of larger glass surfaces on yacht, the inclusion of a beach club or other dedicated areas close to the water, and a bigger garage space for tenders and water toys. Building an additional support vessel has also become extremely popular. Close contact with the water and panoramic open views are more than a trend this year.

2.- Larger still

The request of larger and more exclusive yachts continues to grow. Any yacht that is more than 24 metres is considered a superyacht, but lengths of 50 metres and up are becoming more and more common gradually.

The superyacht industry is fully investing in shipyards with larger and better equipment to fulfil the demand for longer, taller, and beamier yachts because of this trend.

Another trend that it’s being very remarkable is the enhanced focus on maintenance, refits and rebuilds. Apart from new builds, more and more refits are being made in the world, so shipyards are upgrading their facilities to cope with the increasement of this demand.

4.- More eco friendly and focused on innovation

While yachts are becoming larger and more luxurious, they are also becoming more innovative and environmentally friendly. Philanthropy and sustainability have become very important for superyacht building and these trends are going to continue the same way in the future. The use of recycled materials is on the rise in the same way as the use of hybrid engines, solar panels, and exhaust filters.
