The Museum Boat

Art Explora Festival - The ARTEXPLORER catamaran is the world's first museum boat, constructed at the Perini Navi Shipyard in Italy.  It offers an immersive exhibition experience designed by over thirty artists from fifteen Mediterranean countries and it can welcome up to 2000 people on board each day. The catamaran has a length of 46.5m and 55m high, classifying it as a superyacht.

City Island Nautical Museum 

This museum located in the Bronx, New York, exhibits the history, artifacts, boatbuilding, sailmaking, and culture of City Island.


The Sailing Museum

This museum offers various exhibits related to sailing, including those featuring designers, builders, coaches, historians, Olympians, and sailmakers. It is located in downtown Newport, Rhode Island.


Vasa Museum

The Vasa Museum located in the Djurgården island of Stockholm, displays the almost fully intact 17th-century sailing vessel that has ever been salvaged. The Vasa warship sank on her maiden voyage in 1628. Apart of seeing the large ship, you can also learn more about her history from the shipyard until she was rescued from the sea.

There are several maritime museums around the world that are accessible by water, such as the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Maryland, and the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven, Michigan. These museums offer a rich experience of nautical history.


Here are a few notable places where you might find information or displays related to luxury yacht exhibitions:


Monaco Yacht Club (Monaco)

While primarily a yacht club, it often hosts events and exhibits related to yachting, including superyachts. Many of the world’s prestigious private yachts are affiliated with the club, reflecting its unique position in the yachting world.


Museum of Yachting (Newport, Rhode Island)

This museum has historically focused on the history of yachting in America and may include information about luxury yachts.


National Maritime Museum (Greenwich, London)

While not exclusively focused on yachts, this English museum it covers maritime history and may include exhibits related to luxury and historical vessels.


Classic Yacht Exhibition at the Maritime Museum of San Diego (San Diego, California)

This museum occasionally features exhibits dedicated to classic yachts and maritime history.


Maritime Museum of Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain)

The Maritime Museum of Barcelona, also known as the Museu Marítim, is a public facility dedicated to the conservation and diffusion of the cultural heritage of Catalonia and features an extensive collection of ships and boats and a 60-meter replica of warship. It is in the Drassanes Reials de Barcelona, the gothic neighbourhood of Barcelona, and showcases the seafaring history in the Mediterranean from the Middle Ages until today. While not dedicated to luxury yachts, it may have relevant exhibits. It is a significant cultural institution in Barcelona, attracting visitors interested in maritime history and shipbuilding.
