Spain: Your next yachting destination for 2024

Feb 12, 2024

Spain is a premier superyacht destination. Explore the rich culture, exquisite cuisine, and breathtaking landscapes of Spain with Evolution by your side.

Spain is an excellent destination for the superyacht industry. The climate is great, with over 300 days of sunshine a year, and its cultural richness is immense. Add a mouth-watering variety of gastronomic specialities and fresh produce, and it clearly adds up to an excellent choice for new discoveries. Spain also offers premium products and services which are available to the yachting industry, all accessible through Evolution´s in-house professional services.

As you may know, immigration control and harbour master declarations require several formalities for private and commercial yachts entering Spanish waters. If you're on a non-EU flagged vessel, you'll be required to clear customs and immigration at the port of entry, within the territory. Subsequent port procedures depend on a series of local and regional office requirements. When it's time to depart from Spain, always make sure to clear with immigration and customs if you're on a non-EU flagged vessel.

Our friendly team of experts is more than happy to advise you on all statutory requirements and clearance, both across Spain and the neighbouring waters of Portugal and Gibraltar. Within Europe, Spain boasts some of the finest marinas with a wide range of excellent berths.

Within the Balearic Islands, you can find world-class marinas such as Marina Ibiza and IGY Marina Ibiza, Club de Mar and Marina Port de Mallorca, in Palma, or if you prefer to moor outside Palma, we also recommend Port Adriano and Puerto Portals.

Barcelona and Tarragona are also home to a fine coastline where you can discover quality marinas, such as Marina Port Vell, Marina Vela, Vilanova Grand Marina, and Port Tarraco, where crew, guests and vessel will be looked after magnificently.

If you have enquiries about
available berthing options in a specific area, or if you want to explore alternative shipyards and marinas that can provide a safe location for your end-of-season maintenance and refit works, then contact our expert team at hola@evolutionagents.com
