Formalities & Immigration when you arrive in Ibiza

Remember that when coming to Ibiza, there are an array of documents that you must carry on board, to maintain your peace of mind.

In order to make your arrival as smooth as possible, please make sure to have all necessary documents ready for immigration before starting your journey.

Whether you are arriving in Ibiza or Formentera, please note that the following formalities are required for both private and commercial yachts.

IMMIGRATION CONTROL

The first step will be to pass the immigration control which is quite large and particular in Ibiza due to volume of people arriving in a short high season; immigration requires a lot of documents to be presented that would be peaceful to have in hands ahead of your arrival.

HARBOUR MASTER DECLARATION

If your vessel is bigger than 24 metres, you will have to present the harbor master declaration. Depending on if the yacht is entering the port or only remains at anchor, you will be required to present a different array of documents.

Every vessel arriving to the island, must follow the regulations of the Ibiza’s port for captains. This involves having to provide more documents, depending on the passengers, crew, anchorage authorization and itinerary. Notice, that between the requirements for entering Ibiza, there is one specific for anchorage too.

In case the vessel is arriving from a non-Schengen state, different rules will be applied that must be followed to ensure the guests and crew are safe at disembarking and embarking.
